You will recall the history with old-world Hanoi through ancient Hue, past historic Hoi An and to bustling Ho Chi Minh City, you are also enjoy Vietnamese famous food like Café Trung (Egg coffee), Pho, banh mi, rice paper rolls – oh my!

You’ll be cruising, riding, relaxing, exploring and enjoying all of the Vietnamese hospitality. You are also touching of France here, a little bit of China there – and all in Vietnam! Chill out in the cultural mixed bag of Hoi An. Experience overnight on train.

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (-/-/D)

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International airport, meet by our representative and transfer to your hotel.
Welcomed dinner & overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B/L/-)

Check out your reflection in beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son temple.
Visit the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, Temple of Literature.
Enjoy Vietnamese famous food like Café Trung (Egg coffee), Pho, banh mi, rice paper rolls for lunch.
Get arty at the city’s Fine Arts Museum.
Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi - Cat Ba Island (B/L/-)

Leaving Hanoi for Cat Ba Island (beautiful Island).
Exploring the picturesque waters around Cat Ba.
Spend the rest of the day cruising the breath-taking Lan Ha Bay.
Enjoy lunch on board.
Get up close and personal with giant karsts in a kayak.

Day 4: Cat Ba Island - Ninh Binh (B/L/D)

Check out for ferry back to the mainland and head to Ninh Binh province.
Take a cycling tour to visit the ancient citadel – Hoa Lu.
Visit to the 17th century temples built in honour of King Dinh and King Le among other temples, pagodas, monuments.
Take a rowboat cruise along the wetland of Van Long, or Tam Coc.
Overnight in Ninh Binh city.

Day 5: Ninh Binh - Overnight on train to Hue (B/-/-)

Explore the many other wonders of Ninh Binh.
Trek up to the incredible Mua Cave (500 steps to the mountain peak for amazing views of Hoa Lu and Ngo Dong River).
Or take a boat tour past limestone karst peaks, caves, temples.
Tonight, board an overnight train to Hue (approximately 13 hours).

Day 6: Hue (-/L/-)

Arrive by train in Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam.
Exploring Hue’s massive walled citadel and the Forbidden Purple Palace that’s enclosed within it. Enjoy a dragon boat on the Perfume River.
Visit the Thien Mu Pagoda and check out Dong Ba Market.
Overnight in Hue.

Day 7: Hue - Hoi An (B/-/-)

Take a private bus to Hoi An (influenced over the years by Europe, China, Vietnam and Japan (approximately 3 hours).

Visit a historic house (formerly home to a prominent trader), the Japanese Covered Bridge, a Chinese assembly hall and a museum.
Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 8: Hoi An (B/L/-)

Cycling through the beautiful surrounds of Hoi An to the organic vegetable and herb gardens of a local chef.
