Overview

Get ready for a captivating journey to busy Beijing and vivacious Xi’an, two historical hot spots of China. In Beijing, you’re gonna check out Tiananmen Square, the biggest city square in the world, and then head over to the Forbidden City. Take a wander around the Summer Palace and be wowed by the Great Wall. Hit up the local Sanyuanli market, and visit the Confucius Temple and Imperial College Museum. Then, hop on a bullet train to Xi’an, cruising through China’s huge high-speed rail network and soaking up all sorts of scenery. Once in Xi’an, you’ll get to see the Terracotta Army, the largest underground military base in the world. Make sure to visit Xi’an’s old City Wall, the Great Mosque, and the Bell and Drum Tower Square.

Itinerary

Day 1: Beijing Arrival (-/-/-)

On arrival into Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) or Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX), meet by our representative and transfer to hotel for check-in. Spend the rest of the day exploring this incredible city.

Day 2: Beijing (B/-/-)

After breakfast, explore Beijing with the world’s largest city square, Tiananmen Square. Make your way across the road to the magnificent Forbidden City, a culturally historic landmark in China.
Then continues with a visit to the Summer Palace. A stopover at Beijing’s stadium and pool – the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube – built for the 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympics – provides a modern contrast to China’s ancient history. Return to the hotel.
Overnight in Beijing.

Day 3: Beijing (B/-/-)

Breakfast at hotel. Before visiting the Mutianyu Great Wall, stop by the popular local food market Sanyuanli to fill up on fruits and snacks for the day. Continue on and enjoy the drive to explore the Mutianyu Great Wall. Take a round-trip cable car transfer over the picturesque scenery, then walk the wall to take in the Ming dynasty guard towers and sensational views.
Then continue your exploration by visiting the Confucius Temple and the Imperial College Museum. Stroll around Wudaoying Hutong and immerse yourself in local life as you browse small stores, sip coffee, and obtain an insider’s view of a true Beijing neighborhood.
Overnight in Beijing.

Day 4: Beijing - Xi’an (B/-/-)

Beginning your day with a visit to the magnificent Temple of Heaven.
Then transfer to the Beijing West railway station and travel by high speed rail train to Xi’an.
Approximately a five hour trip, you can relax and absorb the diverse landscape along the way.
On arrival at the Xi’an North Station, your local tour guide will meet and escort you to your inner city hotel.

Day 5: Xi’an (B/-/-)

Today’s tour highlight is the world-renowned Terracotta Army.
Return to the city and explore Xi’an’s ancient City Wall, the largest and best-preserved wall of its type in China.
Take in the quiet of Xi’an’s Great Mosque, located in the middle of the city’s old block.
Enjoy in Muslim Quarter with authentic eateries and travel souvenirs.
Today’s final destination is Xi’an’s famous Bell Tower and Drum Tower Square. Return to your hotel for a relaxed evening or book a dinner, show, or both for an evening of entertainment.

Day 6: Xi'an Departure (B/-/-)

After breakfast and check out from your hotel, the tour guide will take you to the Shaanxi History Museum where you’ll discover over 370,000 relics of Chinese history. Take in the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of two iconic Buddhist pagodas in Xi’an.
Following on from the morning’s activities, you’ll be driven to the Xi’an airport for your flight to home or add on destination in China.

*Note: Your tour guide may alter your itinerary as the Shaanxi History Museum is closed on Mondays.
