Day 1: Arrival and Tour
Landmarks and culture
As soon as you arrive at the Wattai National Airport, we will meet you. From there, you will be transferred and checked into your hotel.
That afternoon the tour will begin with a visit to Vat Sisaket- a beautiful and resilient temple in Vientiane built in 1818. This temple is the sole surviving monument of the Thai invasion of 1828 and a local landmark. Our tour will also visit the Ho Phrakeo, the former Royal Chapel housing a beautiful emerald Budda enshrined in an ornate and magnificent location. This establishment dates all the way back to the Lane Xang Kingdom, a state that ruled for three and a half centuries. Other notable sites to be visited are the Patouxai, A word meaning ‘triumph,’ and is an arch dedicated to the struggle for independence from France in the mid-20th century, and the That Luang stupa- a stunning gold-covered building in worship of Buddha.
The day will conclude with a scenic view of the sunset on the Mekong River, and a visit to the night market where all sorts of shops await you with exotic sights, smells, and experiences. After a full day filled with the culture and sights of the city, the tour will spend the night in Vientiane.

Day 2: Continuing the tour
Rich history and trade
After rising and having breakfast, the first stop is the National Museum, formerly known as the Lao Revolutionary Museum. Here, you will see a wealth of precious artifacts and photos from the lengthy struggle for dominance among the Pathet Lao political movement. Priceless artifacts of a rich history await your chance to view them commemorating a tumultuous time in history. Later, the tour will visit the Kaysone Phoumvihan Museum, a breathtaking gallery of Laos’ most vital cultural milestones. As the former leader of the Revolutionary party, Kaysone was integral in forging the beautiful and stunning site Laos has become. This site also has a mockup of his childhood home, giving insight into a well-respected leader’s history.
In the afternoon, you can visit the bustling Ta Lat Sao market, known as the commercial center of Vientiane. A dizzying array of goods are available including antiques, textiles, souvenirs, jewelry, and handicrafts that personify this area. It also serves as a focal point for trade in the region, allowing you to find all sorts of products imported from the surrounding areas in one vibrant and incredible location.
This is followed by another night spent in scenic Vientiane, surrounded by the culture that has grown here for centuries.

Day 3: Departure
One last taste and then on your way
In the morning, you will have a chance to enjoy breakfast, and a bit of free time to explore on your own. When the time comes, we will gladly transfer you back to the airport in time to make your flight on to your next adventure.
