Itinerary
Day 1: Siem Reap Arrival
You’ll be arriving at Siem Reap airport, ready for a relaxing trip away from home and an experience like no other on the sun soaked cities of Cambodia. Perfect! You’ll be meeting with your highly experienced tour guide who will show you exactly where to go, so you won’t be left wandering!
You’ll take a walk through the Buddha shrines at Preah Anchek and Preah Angchorm to get your little induction into the cultural history of the region well underway. It’s a great way to dive straight into a way of life that we know you’ll find fascinating! And not only that, you’ll find yourself experiencing the wonders of the beautiful old garden of King Norodom Sihanouk, right in front of the exquisite ancient Damnak Pagoda, a pinnacle of the fabled Khmer architecture, much of which still exists today. It depicts many symbols of Buddha and of Hindu life.
By afternoon, after a delightful shower and short rest to ease the travel, you’ll be taking a visit to the Siem Reap crocodile farm, the very largest in the world, and one of the symbols of the city. And with some free time to kick back at the Old Market and a buffet dinner, we’ll be setting you up for a well and truly inspirational journey over the next few days.
Day 2: Siem Reap Sightseeing
Once you’re unwound and ready and for some more excitement, it’s off to the South Gate of Siem Reap and into the enigma that is Ta Prohm. Filled with beautiful temples and rich tokens of faith and geographical culture, you’ll learn all about the area, among the Bayon temple, as well as Baphoun, Phimeanakas, and take a walk through the Ancient Royal Palace, a breathtaking experience that’ll walk you back in time to days gone but never forgotten.
And that’s just your morning! By afternoon, and with a great mix of authentic cuisine to tease the pallet for lunch, you’ll be taking a visit to one of the world’s more revered world heritage sites; a temple enriched with folklore, classical undertones, and enough cultural heritage to write countless books. This is of course the Angkor Wat temple, and you’ll even get to climb Bakheng Mountain to watch the panoramic sunset from the peak. Watch the sun go down over the Mekong; a site that’ll take your breath away! And you’ll be concluding your day back in the comfort of your hotel after a hearty evening meal.
Day 3: Siem Reap Departure
And unfortunately, all great things must come to an end, but we know you’ll be back very soon! Once you’ve had a taste of this beautiful part of the world, you’ll be counting the days until you can go back and experience the magic again…
