Itinerary
When you arrive, our tour guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. Once settled, you will travel by car through the picturesque city of Yangon to a variety of sights such as the Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda. This is a colossal statue of the Reclining Buddha representing of the most revered images in the country. The city center of Yangon features other sites like the Sule Pagoda, serving as both a revered temple and the city center and colonial building. A drive through downtown makes a visit to China Town with a fruit market and Yangon's city center covering the world-famous Shwedagon Pagoda. The golden dome of this pagoda is famous for its brilliant shine at sunrise and sunset, reflecting the golden sun in a mesmerizing display. Such is followed with a visit to the Karaweik Hall Royal barge on the Royal Lake for a photo opportunity. This floating palace has few peers, and is a majestic sight on the eastern shore of the Kandawgyi Lake. Your day will end with a buffet style dinner with a cultural show at that barge, immersing you in the local delights. The tour spends this first night in the city of Yangon.
