Day 1: Arrival Phnom Penh

You’ll be arriving in style at Phnom Penh International Airport, where you will be warmly greeted by our English speaking tour guide who will welcome you to Cambodia, and escort you to your comfortable hotel for the evening. It’s time to get set for two weeks of heaven!

Day 2: Cyclo tour to explore Capital

After breakfast, you will experience a Cambodia Cyclo tour across the beautiful city. All on a lovely, traditional method of transport. You will make a trip around the terracotta red National Museum to see the stunning Khmer artefacts, as well as visit the Royal Palace, host to the Throne Hall, Chan Chaya Pavilion and the King’s quarters. Add a visit to the 5000 silver tile Silver Pagoda and it’s all in a morning! After a lunch and a quick rest, it’s over to the Central market and the nearby French quarter for bartering and souvenir hunting. After you’ve done your retail therapy, you’re back to the hotel for a nice rest.

Day 3: Phnom Penh Dark side history

You’ll be seeing the dark side of Cambodia’s history today, with a visit to the Genocide Museum (Toul Sleng Museum), a former prison known as S21. This in itself is both a former school turned prison; a cruel and dark reminder of the brutal regime known as the Khmer regime. After observing the relics of the museum, you’ll be taken to the Killing Fields, the unfortunate site of thousands of men and women who met their end in the mass graves from the S21 prison.

Today, it is a fully fledged memorial site in a beautifully maintained garden of greenery and tranquillity for all to see.

For your afternoon, it’s a visit to the Russian Market to go hunting for souvenirs for your amazing trip to this beautiful corner of the world. It’s a great chance to acquire some traditional pieces from this great nation. And you’ll eventually find yourself crashing at your hotel once more.

Day 4: Phnom Penh – Mondolkiri

After your morning meal you’ll be driven to the biggest rubber plantation in the entire country, the manufacturers of the French tyre company Michelin, in fact. Enjoy lunch in Snuol and take a drive to Sen Monorom to admire the beautiful scenery and the amazing micro-climate. You’ll check into your hotel, where this will be the perfect central location to visit all the surrounding hill tribes and the waterfalls dotted around this area.

Day 5: Minority Village explore

Early this morning, you’ll be visiting the local market where many of the Phnong people from all the nearby villages come to trade.

A full day visit to the hill tribes will beautifully accentuate the trip alongside the waterfalls and beautiful terrain of the area. The huts in this area are a lovely accessory to the area’s natural beauty. Swimming and Elephant adventures, as well as dinner in a local restaurant will round your experience off.

Day 6: Bosra Water fall

With a hearty breakfast to nourish the senses, you’ll be driven to Boi Sra about 40km northeast of Sen Monorom, home to the double-drop waterfall and one of the most impressive sights in the entire region. You’ll be passing many hill tribe villages and some beautiful panoramas of the surrounding lands on the way back, some of which you will visit for an around experience that’ll blow your mind!

Day 7: Mondolkiri – Kratie- Dolphin

Early in the morning, you will be leaving Mondulkiri and travelling to Kratie. You’ll be engaging in a great twist of marine life and experience at the dolphin pool on the Mekong River. It’s the natural habitat of the worlds critically endangered Mekong Dolphin.

And with a very lovely view of the surrounding landscapes, you’ll be driven to the boat landing of Kampi for an hour long cruise which can guarantee sightings of rare animal species.

Take a ferry to Koh Trong island. A small island in the middle of the Mekong makes for a beautiful, peaceful retreat which can be explored on rented bicycles to explore the beautiful huts and pagodas. The trail is just over 9km and is an easy cycle for anybody. You’ll even get the chance to taste the delicious fruits!

Day 8: Mondolkiri – Kampong Cham

This morning we’ll be visiting Chhlong, a picturesque little village on the Mekong bank, featuring a lovely blend of Khmer and Colonial architecture. Go ahead and visit the Kompong Cham, and round the day off with a visit to the Wat Nokor Pagoda, featuring a magnificent ancient temple and modern pagoda, all leading to a visit at Phnom Cham in Siem Reap!

Day 9: Kampong Cham – Siem Reap

Well be departing from Kampong Cham to Kampong Thom where you will enjoy a fantastic lunch. Sambor Prei Kuk awaits, a fantastic collection of 7th Century temple ruins about 120km from the town of Siem Reap.

It’s a fantastic 1000 acre complex with more history here than many of the world’s ancient sites, leaving you with a pure dose of history to feast your eyes on. Not to mention it’s accented by over 150 temples and towers. It’s an amazing measure of history that you’ll have the entire day to experience before a trip back to Siem Reap for the night.

Day 10: Angkor Heritage

In the morning, you will be taking a trip to the South Gate to witness the marvel of the mysteriously eerie, yet curiously fascinating wonders of the Bayon, the Baphoun, Phimeanakas and the Elephants terrace. You’ll see the overgrown yet beautifully preserved Ta Prohm temple. And for the afternoon, you’ll be visiting the famous Angkor Wat, a beautiful temple, that ever since its foundation in the 12th century has remained a powerful religious beacon right up to the present day. And to round it off, you’ll be seeing the super mesmerising sunset over the temple.

Day 11: Roluos Group – Tonle Sap Lake

With a hearty breakfast here, you’ll be shown the collection of monuments that make up the first Angkorian capital of Hariharalaya, the oldest of the main temples in the entire area. It’s a walk through both time and history, and will provide you with an amazing insight into the construction and heritage of this great nation.

For your afternoon, you’ll take a 15km drive over to Phnom Krom, and take on a beautiful cruise on the Tonle Sap lake, past the floating villages of Chong Kneas, a perfect opportunity to witness the day to day life of the residents there. You’ll even go and visit the Artisans d’Angkor, an amazing boutique where you will see the modern handicraft of stone and wood carving, and you’ll get to see exactly how their products are made.

Day 12: Siem Reap Departure

You’ll experience a lovely breakfast, but unfortunately, you will be transferring to the airport for your departure home.

We’re sure you’ll be back again soon!
